Jennifer Brown

I am a watercolor artist but I also work in oil and pen and ink. I have self-published two children’s books called Daphne’s Overnight Adventure and The Frog Family. Having worked for many years as a puzzle designer and as card creator, I am at my happiest when I’m working in my sketchbooks.

About Me

Art has always been a safe place and an outlet. When I was a kid, drawing felt natural and was a good way to create stories. In my young adulthood, I felt most at home and most free in art classes. As a mom with two growing girls in rural Vermont, creative projects generated consistent inspiration and new perspectives. And now, six decades later, making art is still where I feel most confident and joyful.

Today,

I have more time to create! I love working in watercolor, oil, and ink, and sometimes just doodling on my iPad!

My illustrations have been featured in the New York Times Magazine, The Valley News, and The Herald of Randolph. I share my work at the AVA Gallery and Matt Brown Fine Art and Artistree. I teach watercolor and illustration; see the Events page for each season’s upcoming classes.
